Healing at the Harbor
Book 4
In the final book of Keri’s memoir series, her life is turned upside down, and she is pushed to confront years of suppressed emotions. It’s 2009, and her husband’s addiction is getting out of control, tearing the family apart. Keri and her “army” of children brutally confront him, leading to his arrest. Fleeing to Maui with her son and two nephews, she starts anew. Despite living in paradise, challenges persist—her father passes, her husband is sentenced to prison, and she continues to struggle with her past. Embracing meditation, Universal wisdom, and faith, Keri finds support within her newfound harbor family. She learns to accept and allow what life brings, ultimately realizing that Love Is All You Need.

Book 1
The first book in this series of four memoir stories by Keri Dangerfield Stone chronicles her teenage initiation into motherhood and the traumatic events that follow after losing her first child to adoption. This is the story of birth mother marries birth father. Nineteen years later, Keri and her husband reconnect with their firstborn son. Once the initial joys and honeymoon period are over, their family is faced with the unexpected harsh realities that come with reunion. Life Goes On is Keri’s first-hand account of the rollercoaster of emotions she and her family must cope with while facing the difficult truths of adoption.
Letters to My Missionary
Book 2
In this second installment of Keri’s memoir series, the reader gets a first-hand account of the whirlwind of emotions Keri has to deal with after reuniting with her son, whom she lost to adoption at the age of sixteen. Four years after the reunion, he leaves on a mission to Mexico, sending Keri reeling back in time as she is faced with losing him a second time. Letters to My Missionary is a collection of emails written between Keri and her son during his two-year absence. As a reader looking in from the outside, you will get to know Keri’s true feelings and beliefs about adoption and what she strongly believes needs to change.


Mothers of Loss
Book 3
In Mothers of Loss, Keri introduces readers to an online support group for birth mothers who have reunited with their children, offering insight into their collective experiences with adoption. This narrative explores deep themes of loss, identity, and motherhood as these women navigate the complexities of reunion and advocate for changes in adoption laws. Through personal stories, discussions, and letters, the book highlights the emotional and psychological challenges faced by the women, as well as their relationships with the adoptive families and their united efforts to promote honesty and support in adoption practices.

Keri Dangerfield Stone is a writer, speaker, and advocate for adoption awareness. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Keri’s life has been shaped by her experiences with adoption. She is the daughter of an adoptee. She was adopted by her stepfather and she lost her first son to adoption at sixteen. She has since reunited with her firstborn, a journey which inspired her to pursue writing as a form of therapy. Her books explore the complexities of adoption and the impact it has on families.
Keri’s work has been praised by those affected by loss and aims to bring awareness to the many challenges that come with adoption. In addition to writing, Keri is also the founder of Adopt the Mother, an up-and-coming non-profit that aims to change the world as we know it. Keri believes that by “loving one another, ‘and adopting’ the mother,” which includes providing mentorship for biological parents, we can revolutionize the way we rely on adoption as a solution. Her dream is to create a community for communal living, where others struggling with the temporary problem of single parenthood can come together for strength and support.
She currently resides in Maui, where she spends her time reading, exploring the island, and indulging her love of concerts and Broadway shows.
